Skills Bootcamps For Londoners

Skills Bootcamps are designed to support Londoners aged 19 and over in finding employment, enhancing their skills, or changing careers. They are available to adults who are employed full-time or part-time, self-employed, unemployed, or returning to the workforce after a break.

These training programs offer specialised skills training in sectors with high demand and guarantee a job interview upon completion where applicable. Alongside technical training, participants receive guidance on navigating professional work environments to ensure they are fully prepared for new roles. Skills Bootcamps play a crucial role in the Mayor’s efforts to help Londoners secure good-quality jobs that pay at least the London Living Wage.

Bootcamps run for up to 16 weeks and generally focus on higher-level training (Levels 3 to 5). However, for the green, construction, and logistics (HGV) sectors, training can also include Level 2. Programs are delivered either in person or through a hybrid model combining online and in-person sessions.

To be eligible, some of the criteria that must be met include:

  • Right to Work or Study in the UK.
  • London Residency.
  • Above the age of 19.
  • Have not enrolled in any other Skills Bootcamp under the same year.
